Participation

For the participation in the yearly and monthly auctions for the reservation of the transmission capacities between Austria and Hungary please use the registration form.

The form has to be submitted to Central Allocation Office as they are responsible for the registration of market participants for 2010. Additionally the necessary bank guarantee with the amount of € 50.000 minimum has to be submitted also to CAO, nevertheless it shall be in fa

General Requirements for Participating in the Auction Procedures

In any case the Auction Participant has to fulfill the following requirements: 

• Recognition by the Austrian regulatory authority as representative of a balance group or 
• has a valid EIC-Code.

Use of Reserved Capacity

The use of reserved transmission capacities operates via the delivery of fixed and binding schedules to APG and MAVIR in compliance with the legal requirements of grid access in each control area, possible electricity import bans and applicable market rules of APG and MAVIR. The reserved capacities are used on the basis of the schedules disposal respecting the principle 1:1 (exclusive partnership).

Transfer of Reserved Capacities purchased in the course of yearly and monthly auctions

The transfer becomes effective by delivery of the confirmation of APG on its own behalf and on behalf of MAVIR by fax both to the new and the old holder of such transferred reservation of capacity. After confirmation of the transfer by APG only the new holder of the capacity shall be entitled to use the transferred capacity. Neither MAVIR nor APG is obliged to examine the rightful transfer between the old holder and the new holder of the capacity. In case the transfer does not comply with the Auction Rules or the Participant announces to transfer more and/or other capacity than it has purchased in the course of an auction the whole transfer shall not be valid. Any disputes arising from disagreements between the old and the new holder of the capacity do not affect the validity of the transfer after confirmation by APG.
