Auction Procedure

After expiry of the deadline the auction will be held according the regulatroy framework.

In case two ore more delivered Bids offer the same price per MW for the auctioned capacities, the earliest will take priority.

 
If the total amount of the requested Reserved Capacity is smaller or equals the ATC, each Auction Participant will receive the Reserved Capacity according to his Bid and free of charge.

If the total amount of the requested Reserved Capacities exceeds the Monthly ATC, the Auction Price for the Reserved Capacities shall be determined by the Bid with the lowest price offer, which is fully accepted by the Auction Office Austria.

This Auction Price shall be paid by all Auction Participants receiving Reserved Capacity. All Auction Participants receiving Reserved Capacity shall be deemed to have purchased Reserved Capacity.

Any remaining Monthly ATC shall be transferred to the daily auctions.

In this example, the charge for the auctioned Reserved Capacity is determined at 250 EUR/MW. Auction Participant "a" receives a total of 10 MW and has to pay 2500 EUR for it. The unallocated 20 MW are subsequently offered in the daily auction.

In the case that all delivered Bids offer the same price per MW and the total request for Reserved Capacities is higher than the ATC, the respective monthly auction shall be cancelled and a new monthly auction shall be held without any unreasonable delay.
